Dear Friends and Wigwam Alumni:
Together with the normal buzz of the anticipation of another Wigwam summer, there is a fresh excitement brewing on the shores of Bear Lake.
It is with a great sense of pride and accomplishment that I have the opportunity to announce that Camp Wigwam will celebrate it's centennial season following the summer of 2010, during Labor Day weekend, September 3rd through the 6th. As Wigwam's current owner and director, I have the unique privilege to invite you, the Wigwam alumni, to this historically memorable and incredible event.
We have two simple requests of you, our Wigwam alumni. First and foremost, please plan to put this weekend event in your schedule. Do what needs to be done to break away to see the sun rise over Bear Mountain one more time on Labor Day weekend 2010. Details of the gathering spelled out on this website, but the first step must be taken by you. Get to Camp Wigwam for this amazing happening .
Our second request takes a bit more effort. An energetic and committed group of alumni have already started the process to get word of this celebration to as many Wigwammers as possible, but there is no way to reach everyone... without your help. What a shame it would be to sit by the campfire on September 4th 2010 and say "boy, I wish (insert name) could have been here to see this." Let's be sure to get (insert name) to this party. If you are in touch with any Wigwammers from past years, please spread the word and make sure that we get at least news of the centennial to everyone that we can.
So, I'm going to end this note right here. After all, we've got a camp to run. Dig out your tennis shoes and your old Color War shirt, and I'll plan to see you Labor Day weekend 2010 for Wigwam's 100th!!
